Not too far away is LaSalle’s The Pink Chihuahua.  Framed art surrounds you, and plated art comes out of their kitchen.  Tapas feature succulent meats including duck, pork belly and crab.  Full entrees include Chicken Tikka Masala, Poblano Steak Grande, and Deep Fried BBQ Ribs.

Brew connoisseurs will definitely want to try a flight of Tangled Roots’ beer at The Lone Buffalo.
Ottawa’s The Lone Buffalo at Tangled Roots Brewery offers amazing flavor both on their plates and through their taps.  Their locally-sourced, farm-to-table menu contains many amazing flatbreads and sandwiches, and a great entrée menu including Mushroom Ravioli, a Dry Rubbed Pork Chop and a Bone-In Char Crust NY Strip Steak.  Make sure to save room for the Beeramisu!

You’ll get a kick out of Ron’s Cajun Connection in Utica, IL.  Steak or Chicken Jambalaya, Frog Legs, and Shrimp are some of the many tastes of Louisiana featured on the menu. The hushpuppies are mighty tasty as well.  Where else can you get an Alligator Po-Boy?

Need a glass of wine?  Look no further than August Hill Winery, Illinois River Winery and Cattails at Starved Rock Marketplace.  All three locations offer a refreshing, relaxing and charming stop as you adventure through the breathtaking landscape of Starved Rock Country.
