Pechanga Resort & Casino – Temecula, CA
Known for being the largest casino in California, the Pechanga Resort & Casino was voted #1 Best U.S. Casino in 2015. Needless to say: we are not surprised. The Pechanga received the AAA Four Diamond Award in 2002, and has been every year since then. The resort is nestled in one of the best locations, in the heart of SoCal wine country, and in the beautiful valley of Temecula. Every room and suite in the resort has a view of the valley and the mountains.
As far as the actual gaming setup goes, the casino has over 3,000 slot and video poker machines, all new technology, which combine the classics with newer additions. Their most recent additions to the enormous game floor include: The Walking Dead, Buffalo Stampede, and Sphinx 3D. The table games are impressive as well, with over 100 of them being available, not including the poker tables. Let It Ride, Black Jack, Mystery Card Roulette, and Pai Gow Poker are among the popular table games at the resort. The bingo room seats 700 and a non-smoking poker room is accessible to boot.
If you opt for a hotel package to stay within the glorious confines of the resort, you’ll enjoy a ton of amenities. Some of the perks of staying within the hotel are fully stocked mini bars, private sundeck cabanas and a heated pool/hot tub, 24-hour room service, and turn-down service upon request. The spa offers massages, body treatments, hair and skin care, and vacation specials. Want to get away for a day of shopping? Everything you need is right in the resort! The shops at Pechanga carry everything from Ray Bans to Michael Kors, so if you’re staying for an event, like a birthday or an anniversary, they’ve got you covered.
Restaurants within the resort offer up a great selection of fine-dining and buffet choices. The Pechanga Buffet provides over 200 menu items with a variety of different cuisine themes, from Asian to Mediterranean. At the multiple action stations, you can customize your own plate of pasta or pick your piece of BBQ right off of the grill. One of the newer restaurants within the resort is the Umi Sushi & Oyster Bar, which serves up the classic Japanese delicacies, along with unique flavor creations, such as the “Let It Ride” roll with octopus, smoked salmon, and crab with a tempura crunch, arugula and avocado.
