Be a Local in Little Rock

Keep it local. That’s what we do in Little Rock. As Arkansas’s capital city, Little Rock is renowned for its charming hospitality and genuine people. Ranked among the nation’s “Most Travel-Worthy State Capitals,” by USA Today readers, Little Rock continues to garner national and international acclaim for its quality of life and tourism amenities.

One such attribute is the local adult libations scene. If you love adult craft beverages, then using our Locally Labeled Passport is a great way to explore our homegrown craft breweries, wineries and award-winning distillery. Here, you’ll taste the passion that goes into every drop. Here, you’ll experience commitment to quality libations. Here, you’ll drink like a local.

Greater Little Rock is home to eleven (11) craft breweries, each with its own unique personality. Eight of the eleven are in Little Rock, and three are located in North Little Rock. To learn more, click on our Locally Labeled button on our homepage at LittleRock.com. To learn about the craft ale process, head over to The Water Buffalo & Buffalo Brewing Co. for a ‘how-to’ class. Sample what they have on tap, or purchase supplies to make your own. Or, take a tour with the Toddy Trolley or Arkansas Brews Cruise. You can also catch a ride on the METRO electric streetcar to visit many of them on your own.

If you either prefer wine or spirits over brews, you’re in luck. Two wineries are located in our greater Little Rock area. Both An Enchanting Evening Winery and BoBrook Farms’ River Bottom Winery are located just a 20-minute drive from downtown Little Rock.

For a true Arkansas grain-to-glass experience, a tour and tasting at Rock Town Distillery is a must. As Arkansas’s first legal distillery since prohibition, this team is rocking its bourbons, gins, rum and vodkas. Two years ago, their single barrel reserve bourbon whiskey the “2015 US Micro Whiskey of the Year” by international whiskey expert Jim Murray.
